HTS-B Channel Ties.
A range of dovetail slot ties designed for tying masonry back to concrete, steel or masonry. One end of the tie is slotted into Halfen 28/20 Ribslot Channels (for casting into concrete structures) or Halfen 28/15 channels for face fixing to steelwork or other structures or for casting into concrete and the other end is bedded into the mortar joint. Plain end, debonding ties are available with or without a plastic sleeve, for shear load applications.
28/15 HH channels can also be used to provide restraint of external masonry to steelwork or steel studwork where an insulation board is located between the stud and the channel. Halfen HD self drill and tap screws are used to fix the channel to the steelwork (through the insulation board, where applicable). The channels are pre-pierced at 112.5mm centres for the fixings, which are normally placed at 450mm maximum centres. Halfen HTS-B 12 ties are normally used to tie the masonry.
Tie material: Stainless steel, Grade 304 (Grade 316 is also available to special order), galvanised mild steel, Grade Z 275 (hot dipped galvanised to BS 729 is also available to order).
28/20 Ribslot channel material: Stainless steel, Grade 304 (Grade 316 is also available to special order) or pre-galvanised mild steel with a Z 275 coating (PG).
28/15 channel material: Stainless steel, Grade 304 (Grade 316 is also available to special order), mill finish (black) or hot dipped galvanised mild steel.
Plastic cavity insulation-retaining discs can be fitted to any tie.
Consult with Halfen technical literature for details. Halfen can also provide a design and specification service and it is recommended that they are consulted early in the design process. Alternatively a CAD disk can be supplied to assist selection and design by the specifier, subject to confirmation and final calculations by Halfen.
