SBA Sliding Brick Anchors.
Designed to restrain brickwork below horizontal soft joints without restricting differential movement. The anchors comprise a head, vertical stem, and HST brick ties which are free to move up and down the stem. There is a range of head configurations for fixing to concrete or steelwork, and also light duty head fixings. Fixing hole sizes and positions are variable to suit design requirements. SBA/ND anchors are designed for clamping to steel beams without site drilling and allow lateral and vertical adjustment/movement of the ties.
Material: Stainless steel, Grade 304 (Grade 316 is also available to special order), hot dipped galvanised mild steel to BS 729.
The use of single ended perforated ties is recommended, coded HST 12, in most situations. However, double ended ties, coded HST/D and HST ties with other tail shapes and projections are available to order. Drip grooves on single ended ties are available to order.
Plastic insulation-retaining discs can be fitted to any tie.
Consult with Halfen technical literature for details. Halfen can also provide a design and specification service and it is recommended that they are consulted early in the design process. Alternatively a CAD disk can be supplied to assist selection and design by the specifier, subject to confirmation and final calculations by Halfen.
