HK4 Brickwork Support Systems.
Designed to allow continuous vertical adjustment of up to ±35mm for accurate alignment with brick courses. The brackets are bolted to horizontal channels, which are generally cast-in concrete sub structures but can also be bolted or welded to steelwork structures or bolted to masonry structures.
Load capacity: 2.5 to 10.5 kN per bracket.
Material: Stainless steel, Grade 304. Grade 316 stainless steel is also available to order.
System components:
HK4 Type U - Individual bracket with adjustable fixing to Halfen channel. One bracket is required at each perpend. Standard sizes are available to suit cavity widths from 50-150mm.
HK4 Type P - Individual bracket similar to Type U, but with extended ‘shelf’ to support 2 bricks. One bracket is required at every second perpend in normal stretcher bond brickwork. Standard sizes are available to suit cavity widths from 50-100mm.
HK4 Type G - Bracket/angle system, where the bracket gives the maximum possible vertical adjustment and the continuous angle provides a clean soffit over windows. Designed for cavity widths from 50mm to 100mm (for cavity widths over 100mm, consult Halfen). The angle is available in any length up to 3000mm, but lengths are normally restricted to 1500mm to allow easier handling on site. When fixing to metal deck flooring, the use of Halfen Pourstop permits high loads in thin slabs.
Consult with Halfen technical literature for details. Halfen can also provide a design and specification service and it is recommended that they are consulted early in the design process. Alternatively a CAD disk can be supplied to assist selection and design by the specifier, subject to confirmation and final calculations by Halfen.

HMA-G Brickwork Support System.
A continuous support angle welded to slotted fixing brackets. The brackets are bolted to horizontal channels, which are generally cast-in concrete sub structures but can also be bolted or welded to steelwork structures or bolted to masonry structures.
Designed to allow vertical adjustment of ±25mm, it has a load capacity of 3.5 kN per bracket, or 7 metre maximum height of brickwork.
Recommended angle length: 1500mm (3000mm maximum). Welded corner units are available.
Material: Stainless steel, Grade 304 - for the availability of Grade 316 stainless steel or of other materials/finishes, consult Halfen.

Traditional Shelf Angles.
Designed to be used for small cavities or where the cavity is required to be closed. The angles are either fixed back to Halfen HZA cast-in toothed channels or face fixed to steelwork or masonry using Halfen’s serrated patch system.
Made to size to suit requirements. Horizontal or vertical fixing slots allow adjustment.
Material: Stainless steel - refer to Halfen for grades available.
The support angle is available in any length up to 3000mm and thicknesses from 4mm to 12mm depending on loading.

‘Off-the-Shelf’ Brickwork Support System.
Utilises Halfen HK4 brackets and 4mm thick angles, designed to support a 4 metre height of brickwork with vertical and horizontal adjustment. The brackets are bolted to horizontal channels, which are generally cast-in concrete sub structures but can also be bolted or welded to steelwork structures or bolted to masonry structures.
The standard components suit 100mm cavity constructions - other widths to order.
The system components are:
1-brick unit - single bracket.
2-brick unit - single bracket.
3-brick unit - 2 brackets.
4-brick unit - 2 brackets.
6-brick unit - 3 brackets.
Left hand corner - 3 brackets.
Right hand corner - 3 brackets.
